Summer 2021 Reopening Plan

We’re all looking forward to things returning to relative normal based on the success of the vaccine rollout, so we wanted to bring you up to date on the Lodge’s plans for re-opening over Summer.

80% Fully Vaccinated in NSW

This is likely to occur on October 25 or November 1 based on the most recent press conferences and will likely align with ACT’s easing of their lockdown on October 29. From this date, fully vaccinated people will be allowed to travel within regional NSW.

We will only open up for bookings on the day this actually happens, as we’ve all seen the way dates have shifted in recent months as the situation evolves. Summer booking enquiries must be made via the website form after the reopening date: https://www.tfsl.com.au/rooms

For any bookings before Dec 1, proof of vaccination for all guests over the age of 16 must be provided via email to bookings@tfsl.com.au. Details on eligible formats are available at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/vaccination/proof. TFSL will not keep any vaccination records it receives on file after Dec 1 for privacy purposes.

Masks will still be required to be worn indoors by anyone over age 12 and the one person per 4m2 capacity rules still apply. Full details on other NSW restrictions during this stage are available at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/easing-covid-19-restrictions/80-percent

Bookings from December 1 onwards

Things will be close to ‘normal’ after Dec 1 in NSW, with no requirement to provide proof of vaccination to visit TFSL. TFSL’s policy has been to follow NSW Government requirements throughout the pandemic and this will remain the case.

We recognise that the NSW Government’s policies may create concerns for some TFSL Members and understand that people may choose to not stay with us due to the highly communal nature of the Lodge. While we will have no means to monitor symptomless infections in either vaccinated or unvaccinated people, there will still be strict rules for anyone exhibiting COVID symptoms or who test positive to self-isolate and not travel to the Lodge.
