2022-2023 Winter Priority Bookings, Rates and Member Fees
Winter Priority Booking Requests
Given the huge demand we've seen in recent years, we're running Winter Priority booking requests from February 1 to February 28 this year. This is a hugely intensive job for our booking officer to juggle all the requests and try and keep as many people happy as possible! As per previous years, the process will be:
1) Submit your Members' booking request by Monday 28 February at 5pm AEDT via the website form: https://www.tfsl.com.au/rooms
2) Winter peak booking dates are from Friday 24 June to Saturday 27 August 2022. Members can still book outside this date range during the priority booking period if desired - e.g. early June or September.
3) Booking priority follows this policy.
4) Once Member priority bookings have been finalised, Guest bookings can be made. Please DO NOT submit Guest booking requests until this has been officially opened up - probably by mid to late April.
If you had a booking cancelled in 2021 due to COVID lockdowns, you'll need to rebook for 2022 as these bookings cannot be carried over automatically to the new year.
However, we are happy to extend any unused Member accommodation credits from 2021 through Winter 2022 to Monday 3 October, 2022. These can be combined with your 2022 Member accommodation credits.
Summer Peak Bookings
With the growing demand for bookings over Christmas and Summer school holidays, we are now making bookings available from 1 December the year prior to the next Summer Peak booking period. e.g. Bookings for Christmas 2023 will be open from 1 December 2022.
2022 Rates
As many of you will be aware, the cost of operating the Lodge is always going up which we need to cover by applying modest rate changes, including:
Member Annual Contribution
This fee ensures the Lodge has adequate operating funds and incentivises Members to use the lodge with associated accommodation credits. This fee hasn't changed for at least five years, so will be raised to $1250 per annum with the accommodation credit rising to $600 (From $400 previously).
Room Rates
These will be rising modestly in line with CPI and other increased costs whilst absorbing credit card payment fees and can be found for June 2022 onwards at https://www.tfsl.com.au/rooms
Online Bookings
We're happy to announce the introduction of online bookings for Members outside of peak booking periods of Christmas, Easter and Peak Winter dates. This means that Members can now review dates and book directly via a website, with the booking officer keeping an eye on things behind the scenes.
The link to online bookings has been emailed separately to Members and can be found in the Members’ Secure Information Area.
For all Guest and complex multi-room or whole of lodge bookings, please continue to use https://www.tfsl.com.au/rooms.
